A Public hearing on the 2026 Budget of the Town of Afton will be held on November 13, 2025 at 6:30 pm at the Regular Board Meeting, held at 204 County Road 39 Afton, NY 13730. The public may view the preliminary budget at the Office of the Town Clerk at 204 County Road 39, Afton, NY 13730 during regular office hours.
The hearing will be open to public comment on the preliminary budget includes the following Salaries:
Supervisor $8,573.00
Town Justice $17,840.00
Town Board (4) $3,020.50 each
Town Clerk $24,250.00
Highway Superintendent $64,896.00
Historian $2,448.00
Assessor $19,916.00

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING to be held on July 10, 2025 at 6:30 pm at the Afton Town Hall at 205 County Road 39 Afton NY 13730, to hear all concerns and comments on Proposed Local Law 1 of 2025, Entitled " Amendment of Local law no 2 of 2010, Licensing and Setting Licensing Fees of Dogs" Section 4.0: License Fees 4.02 and Section 6.0 Impoundment Fees of Dogs A &B. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING with the Town of Afton Planning Board to be held July 21, 2025, at 6 PM
The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public input regarding a proposed campground development project at 123 Apple Tree Lane involving a land use change and property upgrades. (see PDF for details and code of conduct)

The Town Board of Afton has determined that it is desirable for the Town to construct a walking trail for use of its residents.
